MS “Students Together” Group Visits MTES

A group from MTMS formed by 7th and 8th graders called “Students Together” visited our second grade classes this week. The group works to spread kindness and positivity in their school and community. The students discussed what being “One Mendham” means to them and tied in the themes of teamwork, tolerance, and acceptance.

Our second graders had an opportunity to share all of the generous community service projects that they have taken part in this year ranging from the Giving Tree and St. Jude Mathathon to our most recent fundraiser “Coins for Kids”. The Middle School students also guided the second graders through a “pat on the back” activity where students wrote nice compliments to spread kindness in the classroom and to highlight unique characteristics of one another. We look forward to continuing to work with “Students Together” next year!!

MTES St. Jude Math-A-Thon~BIG SUCCESS!

MTES St. Jude Math-A-Thon
Big Success!

A big thank you to everyone for another wonderful year of raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital in our annual Math–A–Thon program. The students practiced their math skills and helped children fight cancer.

We raised almost $11,000 from 130 different families in our extended community in the last month.

We can be proud to know that in our twelfth year we have now exceeded $175,000 in gifts to St. Jude.

Your kindness, charity and support for this wonderful hospital will allow families to never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.

THANK YOU MTES FAMILIES!

Cheep Cheep!

Ms Bays’ third grade class had the opportunity to help Mrs. Whittle in the library with her new pet chicks for a brain break! The 3rd grade class learned all about the new chicks and took part in helping Mrs. Obremski’s Pre-K class interact with these new feathery friends. The third graders did an excellent job working with the Pre-K students and helping Mrs. Whittle with her morning class!
