Virtual Forum on Bond Referendum Scheduled for January 12, 2022

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sal Constantino and Board of Education President Gretchen Holquist will host a virtual forum on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 6-7 p.m. 

Community members can ask questions during the session by using Zoom’s “raise hand” feature or typing in the chat. Questions can also be submitted in advance through referendum@mendhamtwp.org. Click this link to join via Zoom on Jan. 12.

A recording of the virtual forum will be available at www.mendhamtwp.org/vote and questions submitted to referendum@mendhamtwp.org after the final information session will still be answered.

 

8th graders attend production of To Kill a Mockingbird on Broadway

On Saturday February 9th, 27 MTMS 8th graders traveled to New York City to see the production of To Kill a Mockingbird on Broadway.  Reading To Kill a Mockingbird is a highlight of the 8th grade Language Arts curriculum, with students participating in many interesting extension activities related to the book, including analysis of the film adaptation, researching the book's censorship history and the enactment of the popular Mock Trial.

Four MTMS musicians selected for Jr. High Regions Honor Band

Four Mendham Township Middle School students have been selected to participate in the prestigious Jr. High Regions honor band, sponsored by the NJSMA (North Jersey School Music Association.) 8th grade bass players, Michael Ewing and Giovanni Lombardo were accepted into the Junior Region I Symphonic Winds Ensemble, with Lombarbo earning the first bass chair position.  8th grade percussionist Jack Xu and 7th grade trumpet player Chloe Brodeur were accepted into the Region I Concert Band.
