MTMS NJSLA TESTING UPDATE:

Please note that the PARCC testing is now called NJSLA.  It appears that all of the content will be the same except that there will only be two ELA sections instead of three - and Math units have been shortened by approximately 20 minutes.

Please know that it is REQUIRED for students to have headphones for NJSLA testing. There are units in the Language Arts section which requires them to watch and listen to media clips to answer questions It is our request that you please ensure that your student brings a pair of headphones with them to school during their week of testing.

Grades 5 & 6 are testing May 6 through May 10
Grades 7 & 8 are testing May 13 though May 17

Grades 5 & 8 Science testing is May 20 & 21.

Please make sure your students bring headphones to school each of these days. Headphones must have a round jack (no air pods or Iphone headphones permitted). In addition, students may also bring a USB mouse if they would prefer to use a mouse with their laptop.

Please note that cell phones, including Apple (type) watches, will not be permitted into the test sessions.
It is extremely important that students show up everyday during testing and that they arrive on time. Testing begins at the immediate start of the school day.

8th grade parents... Information and events.

Dear 8th Grade Families,
Please reference the attached brochure (link below) about the Previews program at WMMHS. The purpose of the Previews program is to help provide a seamless transition from middle school to high school. The three-day program teaches strong habits for academic success, character traits such as persistence and resilience, and critical social-emotional skills. It is a fantastic opportunity to help prepare your child for high school and a chance for them to also meet other students before school starts. They even offer information and workshops for the parents on the last day of the program.
If you would like to sign up or have any questions, reference the attached brochure with the proper high school contacts included.
