Welcome to Mrs. Crelin’s Third Grade Classroom: The Piglet Class!
My name is Katelyn Crelin, and I am so excited for us to work together this year! We are going to have the best year full of learning, growing, and laughing.
Throughout the past couple of years since I have begun working in classrooms and school settings, I have learned to appreciate the entire process of learning, rather than focusing solely on the end goal. This teaching philosophy helps me to meet each student where they are throughout each step of their educational journey, and guide them towards achieving whatever they set their mind to.
In my classroom, I value inquiry, exploration, and engagement. This means that I highly encourage asking questions, remaining curious, and working in team settings to further our understanding of different educational topics. As your teacher, it is my goal to teach you lots of skills and information that will help you grow in all areas of your life, both inside and outside of our classroom. I am so grateful to join you on your journey this year!
A little bit about me: In 2019, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in English from Fairfield University. Additionally, in 2020, I earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Fairfield
University Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions. Soon after graduating, I joined the MTES family and had the privilege of teaching First Grade, Second Grade, and now Third Grade! I am so excited to begin my fifth year of teaching here at MTES.
I look forward to having the most fun and memorable year together!
