Hello! My name is Tiffany Reed and I'm thrilled to teach The First Grade Frog Class here at Mendham Township Elementary School!
I've been teaching since 2000 and have taught in the Mendham Township School District since 2002. I have a BA in Psychology, a NJ Teaching Certificate for grades Pre-K through 8 and a Masters Degree in Elementary Reading and Math. Since joining the MTES community, I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grades. I especially love teaching first grade because the students are so genuinely excited to come to class each day and are highly motivated to learn. My goal is to make learning so engaging for my students that they think of it as fun, as opposed to work. I pledge to teach, nurture and care for my students each day, allowing their best interests to drive my day-to-day goals for instruction and growth.
I have three of my own amazing children, all of whom are either enrolled in our Mendham Township schools or at West Morris Mendham High School. My husband and I believe so strongly in our school district that we made the decision to move our family here when our oldest was entering first grade. It was one of the best decisions we've ever made!
When I'm not at school, you'll most likely find me spending time with my family. I love cheering my kids on at their sporting events and log many hours on the sidelines and bleachers each week. Our family loves taking long walks with our dog, Colby, traveling to California and Florida to visit extended family, skiing and socializing with friends. Our summers, weekends, and days off from school are always action-packed!
As each new school year approaches, I look forward to meeting a new class of eager learners. I hope to someday meet and work with your child in the Fantastic Frog Class!
