DISTANCE LEARNING 2020-2021
Dear MTES Families,
MTES will transition all students PK-4 back to full-time in-person learning on Wednesday, January 13th. This is an EARLY DISMISSAL DAY SCHEDULE. We will continue to follow our in-person instruction schedule as follows:
Wednesdays~Early Dismissal 9:00-12:25 p.m.
*In the event that our school must return to our distance learning schedule, please check back to this page for further information and links to our teacher pages.
MTES DISTANCE LEARNING SCHEDULE:
The Distance Learning Teacher Web Page Links are listed below. Teacher pages will have the daily instruction schedules, Google Meet links, lessons and educational apps. Our school will continue to use Google Meet to provide live access to our teachers throughout the instructional day. Students will also be asked to work independently or with an adult at home to complete work.
In order to make the learning process as successful as possible, it is strongly recommended that students have a "learning space" set up in their home that includes a flat surface to write on, writing utensils, paper and any supplies the teacher has suggested and/or supplied. It is also recommended that an adult monitor students’ daily activities, communications and work completion. The level of supervision may differ depending on the age of the student. Students are required to follow our school’s Code of Conduct and Acceptable Use of Technology and any misuse or inappropriate communications may result in disciplinary actions.
Students are expected to log into their class Google Meet link between 8:50-9:00 a.m. using their school Gmail account. Attendance will be taken by the teacher and recorded in OnCourse. Daily attendance will be tracked by our homeroom teachers so it is important that your child logs on between 8:50-9:00 a.m. Instruction begins at 9:00 a.m. (M-F). Please email the main office to report your child absent firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our school is committed to helping our students and families with distance learning online. Please email me or your child's teacher with any questions or concerns.
