Arts

Featuring unique depth, breadth and diversity of experience, Mendham Township’s vibrant arts program inspires students to participate at every level and prepares them to become true artists. Our wide-ranging curriculum allows kids to explore many different mediums or master just one, and mixes the traditional with the contemporary. In the fine arts, students work in mediums such as drawing, painting, ceramics and film photography, as well as video, architecture, design and digital photography. Likewise, Mendham Township’s theatre, vocal and instrumental music groups perform broad repertoires that challenge students technically and conceptually.

At Mendham Township, art is not just a creative outlet, but also an ingrained part of the curriculum and the academic day. Our student-artists—whether experienced practitioners who wish to pursue careers in the arts or curious individuals who just want to try something new—have access to outstanding performance and creative spaces; trips to performances and world-renowned museums in New York City and Philadelphia; exposure to visiting artists and frequent opportunities to exhibit and perform. Creativity is intentionally woven into our curriculum, across disciplines and throughout our community: Your inner artist will thrive at Mendham Township.
