Outdoor Learning Center (OLC)

One of the school’s unique assets is the Outdoor Learning Center, which is designed to provide students with extended learning opportunities outdoors and to learn the importance of environmental sustainability. Areas of study are connected to the curriculum and focus on environmental awareness, agriculture and gardening. The Outdoor Learning Center includes a science center, weather station and four large growing beds. Additional learning areas include a certified Monarch Butterfly Weigh Station, fruit orchard, chicken coop and hummingbird gardens. Students are also engaged in flower and vegetable cultivation using the planting beds.
